When importing employees into Flare Workplace using a CSV file, you may come across some errors if there are issues or inconsistencies in the data. These errors help flag records that need correcting before they can be successfully imported.
Below is a summary of the most common import errors and what they mean:
Duplicate Email
This means two or more employee records in your CSV file use the same email address.
- Duplicate entries are automatically skipped during the import process to prevent errors.
Invalid Email Format
The email provided doesn't follow a standard format (e.g. missing “@” or domain name).

Missing Email
No email address was provided for the employee.

Missing Employment Basis (only applicable if included in your file)
Your import file includes a column for employment basis (e.g. full-time, part-time), but one or more records are missing values for that field.

The mobile number is incorrectly formatted.

Missing First or Last Name
The employee record is missing either a first name or last name.

If any of these errors appear, you’ll be shown a summary during the final Review step of the import. You can download a report to correct any issues and re-upload the file when ready.
